The Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Program (TFRLCP) complements Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's (TPWD's) mission to conserve natural resources by protecting working lands from fragmentation and development. TFRLCP maintains and enhances the ecological and agricultural productivity of these lands through Agricultural Conservation Easements.

The TFRLCP supports responsible stewardship and conservation of working lands, water, fish and wildlife, and agricultural production through:

Fun and Games at the Royal Highland Show. BHS Scotland enjoyed a successful Royal Highland Show 2019. Future Spendthrift Farm stallion and multiple Grade 1 winner Jackie’s Warrior was named one of the finalists for the 2-year-old Male Eclipse Award. Pepperidge Farm marks all products with a Sell By Date, which can be found on the various package types: Bread — Color closure tags; Cookies & Cracker Bags – front upper right hand top of bag; Boxes (Frozen, Cookies & Crackers) – Top or side box flap; Please include all numbers and letters that appear on the package, including date. The Game Farm brand is respected as representing the highest standards of quality control from farm gate to plate. Game Farm continues to grow speciality game birds across New South Wales using small-scale boutique farming methods, allowing a hands-on approach to raise the birds with the respect they deserve.

  • Leveraging available monies to fund as many high-quality projects as possible.
  • Highlighting the ecological and economic value of working lands and the opportunities to conserve working lands for the future.

First established by the legislature in 2005, Texas HB1925 (companion bill SB1597) transferred the TFRLCP from the Texas General Land Office to TPWD effective January 1, 2016.

Request For Proposals

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is pleased to announce a request for proposals to the Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Program (TFRLCP) for funding during the FY 2019-2020 biennium. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BEGINNING MARCH 1, 2019 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2019.
